Our Suppliers

From Cornell student-run growers such as Dilmun Hill Student Farm and Cornell Hydroponics, to local farms such as Fort Baptist Farm and Remembrance Farm, to local bakeries such as Wide Awake Bakery and Laurie's Grain-Free Bakehouse, we aim to source the majority of our items from local vendors to strengthen our connectedness to an environmentally-sound food system rooted in the here and now. Cornell Student-Run Vendors

Dilmun Hill Student Farm

Dilmun Hill is a student-run farm that has been practicing sustainable agriculture on Cornell University's campus for more than a decade. The farm provides students with opportunities for experiential learning, group collaboration and research. In the fall semester, Dilmun Hill provides us with our kale, Swiss chard, kohlrabi, okra, celery, assorted peppers, garlic, cabbage, eggplant, heirloom and cherry tomatoes, and much more.

Cornell Hydroponics

Cornell Hydroponics aims to bring together students with a passion for advancing agricultural technology through the use of hydroponics. These students provide us with much of our regular and curly green lettuce, regular and purple basil, blue kale, and Swiss chard and manage a growing apparatus in the store to educate customers on the hydroponics process.

Aunt Flo's Kitchen

Aunt Flo's Kitchen is a Cornell student-run business that creates Cramp Bites designed to mitigate menstrual pain. Cramp Bites, which are inspired by a Middle Eastern recipe consisting of dates, nuts, and spices, are the first and only doctor-recommended snack designed to counteract the nutritional deficiencies causing period cramps. 

Local Farms

Fort Baptist Farm

Fort Baptist Farm is a Black owned, multi-generational, multi-cultural, multi-racial sustainable family farm in Ithaca. Led by Dee and Ed Baptist, the farm provides us with our cabbage, sweet peppers, carrots, leeks, scallions, ginger, and much more!

Remembrance Farm

Remembrance Farm is a 100-acre biodynamic vegetable and dairy farm located in Trumansburg. Nathaniel and Emily Thompson grow many of our onions, sweet peppers, candy stripe beets, and salad greens.

Plowbreak Farm

Plowbreak Farm is a USDA Certified Organic Farm that sits atop the hills of Seneca Lake and specializes in vegetables. Farmers Aaron Munzer and Kara Cusolito provide us with much of our honeynut squash, multicolored zucchini, radishes, beefsteak and heirloom tomatoes, lettuce, and more.

Stick and Stone Farm

Stick and Stone Farm, owned by Chaw Chang and Lucy Garrison, is a USDA Certified Organic Farm in Ithaca that grows a diversity of produce including specialty Asian vegetables. From Stick and Stone, we receive most of our bok choy, broccoli rabe, Chinese broccoli, eggplant, shishito peppers, delicata and acorn squash, and more.

High-Ground Gardens

High-Ground Gardens is a small-scale, no-till farm with produce grown with biologically-centered practices in Ovid, New York. We obtain most of our herbs from Andrew and his team: mojito mint, thyme, chives, dill, basil, parsley, rosemary, and so on!

Wildflower Farm

Wildflower Farm, owned by Jeb and Christina Mead, is an Enfield-based farm that raises belted Galloway cattle and provides us with our ground beef. The cattle live outdoors year-round, eating only pasture forages during the growing months and local hay during the winter months. The farm uses no growth hormones or routine antibiotics, and the animals are processed at nearby Schrader Farms, which is USDA inspected and animal welfare certified.

FingerLakes Farms

FingerLakes Farms is an Ithaca-based company that sources its products from a variety of farmers and producers in New York State, such as Lively Run Dairy (in Interlaken), Jones Family Farm (in Herkimer), and Ithaca Milk.

Local Bakers and Other Producers

Wide Awake Bakery

Wide Awake Bakery is community-focused bakery located in Trumansburg. Stefan Senders and Liz Brown work closely with their local partners — Oechsner Farms and Farmer Ground Flour — to make sourdough breads and granolas from local organic grains.

Ithaca Bakery

A favorite that has been over for over 100 years in New York’s Finger Lakes region, Ithaca Bakery sells us our assorted sliced sandwich breads.

Via's Cookies

Via’s Cookies is a Black-owned and women-run business aiming to provide the community with delicious cookies that can be enjoyed by people with and without food restrictions, and to simultaneously help struggling BIPoC and LGBTQIA+ students so life can be sweet for everyone.
